Childrens Craft Display

I love seeing all the ideas of how your childs crafts are diplayed even those that are just a scribble is special, before I had seen lots of different ideas on how to display the never ending pieces of paper, I thought I was creative and came up with this myself. Matty had a huge wall and I had no idea what to put on it first I painted it with magnetic paint and was going to use magnets that failed. So I went and bought this long Curtain rod and curtain clips and hung it up and nowwe clip pictures to it for each season and at the end I take a picture of it and then throw away the non keepsakes (I do have a picture of them all) and then save the sentimental ones. So easy and I love it. I have ideas for Ashlynn's room when she starts bringing home projects.
I love to organize, you would think after living her in the same house for 9 years it would be organized completely well still a working progress and one of these day it will be done..

A Day with Us

I wander myself how I get through each day and friends seem to call me "Super Mom" "Energizer Bunny" "Super Woman" But really it is by Gods Grace I make it through each day, I have battles with my kids, I am tired, I get frustrated, I give up, yes us mommys all have experiened one of these things I am sure. I am so busy when I want to sit down for 5 minutes it usually does not happen. The only way I am getting to do blog is Ashlynn is in the bath tub and I am sitting in bathroom with the laptop so using time wisely I guess. Growing up we had routine everyday all the way down to snack, now most of you know there is a HUGE gap betwen me and my siblings so example "Snack Time" was always at 4:00 and we watched Barney well they did but that is how they learned to tell time. So my day usually runs that way now. I am a big plan ahead person I pretty much have till the end of the year already planned, my hubby on other hand is not a planner but after almost 10 years he is getting the hang of it or asks "What is the plan" even Matty asks every night what is the plan when we wake up. So I got them trained, ok so you wander how I do everything I do here is a typical day in The Terry household
I wake up at 7:00am and go to couch yes I get the best 30 minutes of sleep doing this, then daycare kids start showing up, most which go down for morning nap we are slowly taking this out of morning routine. Then when my kids begin waking up we have breakfast most days consist of a waffle, nutri grain bar or poptart, sometimes oatmeal, we are not morning people at all. Then we play or Matty is off to preschool MWF so it just depends. Then we do preschool with daycare kids, play outside, all over house, it does get messy around here. Then lunch I start cooking around 11:15 and we eat at Noon, I cook a home cooked meal everyday. Then we do more school stuff, music etc... Then after noon nap and I usually get laundry, clean kitchen, etc done as much as I would like to nap with them it rarely happens. Then after nap we have snack time (we do not watch Barney) then we play and play until time to go home. Then it is life with my family and the evenings go fast. Most evenings are just me and the kids and we get bored. Hubby does not have the typical 8-5 job but not vary many of those out there these days. A typical hubby week is M 9-6 T 9-9 W 2-Cl or O-Cl Th 9-6 Fr 9-6 Sa O-Cl and Su Off So I only cook dinner nights he is home which is not very often. We do Family night dinner every Wednesday at my Parents and Tuesday Matty has Gymnastics so we go to Chick Fil A after so we stay on the go. Mondays I teach piano after daycare kids leave. So we live a crazy busy life and it just gets crazier. I also squeeze in my Thirty One business.
I love my life and what God has done in our lives each day. I am sure I overwhelmed some of you and I did not add everything we will leave that for different blogs.

Thankful

Wow I am so behind on blogging, I say everytime I do this that I will keep it up, I love reading my friends blogs and I wander why I can't keep up with mine. Well we will see how it goes this time and hopefullyvi can get my site updated.
Well this is a fun time of year and I love the holidays and cool weather well we ate getting the holidays but not the cool weather it is warm and we are still running the a/c in November 2 days before Thanksgiving.
I am so thankful for my hubby of 9 years it has been a rollercoaster for sure I am not gonna lie but we love being together. We are very thankful for out kids Matthew and Ashlynn they keep us on our toes for sure. Matty is now 5 and he is a Lot like his daddy. Ashlynn is very mobile and has a sassy attitude already but she is just precious and she loves her big brother. We are so thankful for what God has given us.
So much to be thankfully for and it's sad we only show it this time of year it needs to be shown everyday!!!!!! Well my goal is to post often and I of course say this everytime but I really need to.

A little bit of this and that

I keep saying I am going to get better at blogging only if I am talking to myself, which I think I do a lot. I spend my days with lots of kids and they cant talk yet, they do listen but it is not the same. I always here of people hanging out as families for dinner or going to the park, or those moms who get away for coffee or a pedicure, or even going to MOPS, stuff I would love to do, sometimes I feel like a prisoner of my own home and I should not feel that way. I do love being with my kids and my husband but I need time to just breathe from the everyday life of dirty diapers, snotty noses, dishes, cooking, cleaning and the laundry monster. I want to change things this summer and need to do a little at a time, I dont want our lives to revolve around how much is in checking account, I want to plan ahead and have people over for meals and go to peoples houses for meals, have adult conversation and pop the bubble that we seem to be in.
I am blessed to have 2 wonderful kids Matthew is 4 and Ashlynn 10 weeks and they are both such cuties. Matthew just finished up preschool and soccer and has a busy summer planned with gymnastics, Swim lessons, VBS, Pre school fun Days at Church, hope to keep the little guy busy.
Ashlynn well she just gets to be a sweet girl and tag along for all the fun with big brother.
Brandon well works all the time and I wish he did not have to work so much because when he comes home he does not want to do anything and of course Matty feels left out and my stress level seems to go up more because extra set of hands is here just no help, I should not get upset but I do work to just at home and I have very tiring days as well.
We have dinner as a family maybe twice a week and breakfast on Saturday morning if hubby is off so we dont sit down much as a family and I want more of that. I wish we always had breakfast together and dinners I think things would be more enjoyable.
Well I vented a little, I hate feeling alone and want to build more friendships and be involved in stuff, I wish we had a MOPS for the working moms and had a group that meets in the evening.
Well I better get started on dinner and maybe just maybe I can figure this blog thing out better and add pictures and things like that and maybe keep and update of our family.

A New Year 2010

Wow, Happy New Year to all!!!!!
I am shoked that it is already here, I have set a few New year Resolutions, 1. get better at remembering to send Birthday,Anniversary Cards etc... 2. Loose 35-40lbs by summer 3.Survive these last 9 weeks of pregnancy with gestational diabetes, not very happy about that and the pricking of my finger.
4. Get better at blogging (I say this all the time)

We had a fantastic Christmas (4 of them actually) had Brandons family in town staying with us it was great. My mother in law did all our laundry one week which was a huge help to me. She kept dishes done which was great now if only I can do the same to keep things done....
Matty got so much stuff for Christmas, it is crazy and to think this next Christmas we will have 2 kiddos getting things,yikes.....

I love traditions, growing up my family on Christmas morning would have cinnamon rolls,orange danish rolls,bacon and eggs and while that cooked we would play with our Santa gifts it was awesome, we have that tradition still with Matty.
Since our family has grown with the extended family and we dont have a money tree in our backyard it has been tough each year for Christmas. With my family we just have to buy a gift for Jordynn my neice then we buy a stocking stuffer for everyone else which is still 9 people but makes it fun. This year my mom has changed it up a bit which still I think is going to be lots of fun, we will draw around Thanksgiving a item of clothing and whatever item you get you will buy everyone that item, lets say i have socks, but at Christmas when we all open everything we will have a complete outfit, very cool idea and I think it will be lots of fun....
Now hubby's side wow it is big and just keeps getting bigger, it is 15 people we buy for and it just seems to get harder every year budget wise and the age that everyone is getting. I have lots ideas that would make it easier on everyone, hubby likes the ideas to but says it will probably never happen thats ok, I am going to try a new plan this year we will see if it works, shooping those great deals through out the year, because on top of Christmas we also have Birthdays 27 to be exact so really have to get smart his year because it seems like everything always increases but our income. Well I have gone on and on and but probably cause I feel like I am talking to myself I dont know if anyone even reads this,lol.....

It has been a LONG time.......

Wow how the time goes by, I have not posted since April and a lot has happened since then. I really need to get better at this and also really figure out how to work all this blogging stuff, luckily I remembered my password today :-)
Lets see since April we can start with May what did we do in May, Matty finished up MDO at Church and he is moving on to Preschool in the fall wow my little boy is growing up way to fast. It has been so long I really cant remember what we did. June hmmm, I had another miscairage but was not far along on this one as my last, we had friends here for a weekend that was lots of fun. July has now rolled around and we enjoyed the fireworks, took a gfamily vacation to El Paso this is where Brandon's parents live, it was lots of fun going to Carlsbad Caverns, White Sands and much more, we had a blast. Had fun swimming this summer and much more. August has now rolled around and I am Pregnant wow very excited but also nervous again will not get my hopes up until I see this gummy bear. I do start getting sick, no fun and so I have a roller coaster of a month and to end our summer we go to Schlitterbaun and have a blast, I pretty much snacked on concession food all day which is one of my big cravings. So I have spent several weeks sick as a dog but I am surviving. September is here and I am so ready to decorate for fall but I try my hardest to wait till the first day of fall, I am doing a little better as far as being sick and getting big quick, my birthday rolls around on the 24th and I take the day off and Katie and I go out for the day we saw a movie went shopping out to lunch it was awesome then we finished the day off with a party at my parents a great way to bring in the 30's. Finally got to decorate for fall and love it now for some fall weather would be great. October still HOT and now rainy, well we found out that our little gummy bear is a GIRL and we are so excited and this is also our last, her name is Ashlynn Leigh Ann Terry, Leigh Ann is after my Aunt and we love the name Ashlynn as well we had to use them all for our last and our little girl, I am of course still not doing so good I have good days and bad days I wish everyday could be a GREAT one. Halloween we had a party at my moms that was great and Matty went to a few houses to get candy that we never eat I dont even know why we went to get some but he had fun and dressed up as a Aggie football player. I have looked at our calendar and we have something every week until January,I am going to go crazy. Wow I am at November and I think I can remember what has gone on so far this month, now the goal is continue to stay updated. We always have a crazy November, we celebrated Brandons 29th birthday on the 7th had friends over for dinner it was a great time, as well as Matty's party that day as well he had a Gymnastics party and had a lot of his friends come it was great and the cake I had someone make was AWESOME, loved it.. Then the next day is Mattys birthday and we went to Chuckee Cheese which is a tradition we have had since his first birthday and wow to believe this is his 4th birthday. So after a full weekend of birthdays friends and family it is time to get back to the daily grind of the work week and then the weekend rolls around and we have our Anniversary and we are celebrating 8yrs this year we went to Outback steakhouse for dinner, love the Prime Rib. Wow I have now made it to today and it is finally cool outside but not cool enough for the heater inside but wear your jacket outside for sure. I am still sick about once a day and still living of the nasaue medicine, it does help me get through the day. I am busy with daycare kiddos and could use 1 or 2 more. I am going to try so hard to try and enter something in everyday well we will see how that goes. I am looking forward to this weekend my goal is to decorate for Christmas, I love Christmas and have a tree for every room. I also am looking forward to Thanksgiving next week we are having it at my moms house and having a feast it is going to be great, I am so glad maternity pants have a nice stretchable waist. I think I am caught up but it is not everything that happened this year but we have had a great year, I am still thinking of things we did A&M football games, Renisance Festival that I left out and we have had a blast with all. Now time for Chick fil a night it is Tuesday and we are off and then to Target to get a couple of things. Have a great week!!
